The Temperature Control Division of Standard Motor Products, Inc. manufactures and distributes a complete line of original equipment replacement climate control products. Our TCD is the largest aftermarket automotive temperature control parts supplier in the industry and the largest compressor Remanufacturer in the world. Our goal is to provide you with products that meet or exceed OE performance.

Compressor quality begins with the raw material and core receiving processes. Aided by voice-recognition software, every core is checked for condition and inventoried. All inbound raw material goes through a quality assurance process. We replace most of the internal compressor parts including shaft seals, gaskets, O-ring, and bearings. Many compressors also receive new pistons, piston rings, ball shoe discs, noses, rear heads, and swash plates.

After assembly, every compressor is tested for sound level, vacuum and pressure retention and checked for any leakage using programmable, automated test stands. Random life testing is conducted on an ongoing basis. Compressors are tested for hundreds of hours on fully automated life test stands, equipped with electronic data-acquisition devices that simulate driving conditions over the equivalent of 50,000 and 100,000 miles of driving.
