| All engine management components such as the PCM, sensor inputs, ignition system and fuel system are designed to achieve maximum engine performance while maintaining the tail pipe emissions below the EPA guidelines but, this program will concentrate on components and systems that specifically control vehicle emissions.
Emission control systems and their components are designed to reduce particular pollutants. Some emission components have been added to existing engine management components such as ignition distributors and carburetors, that modify their operation and reduce certain pollutants. |
