As you probably already know, Fuel injection is a method of delivering fuel into an engine under a pressure that is higher than atmospheric. This delivery method results in improved metering and atomization of the fuel, which results in better engine performance and reduced tail pipe emissions. |

| The development of fuel injection systems has resulted in producing many different types and designs of components. Mechanical fuel injection systems were first used on diesel engine applications and then adapted to gasoline engines. Electronic fuel injection systems were designed to replace carburetors on gasoline engines and have now been adapted to replace mechanical injection on diesel applications. | |||||||||||||
| This program is designed to provide the information necessary for a counterperson to become familiar with the fuel injection components that Standard offers.
